The Japan – U.S. Symposium 2014, harmonizing with the recent Japanese “Abenomics” measures, aims at reconstructing economic intereaction between Japan and the United States. Industry professionals from both countries will highlight business attractiveness and government support in Japan, suggesting business and investment opportunities and how you can best engage business in Japan.
Japan has long been one of the most important ecconomic partners for the U.S. While Japan is in the process of economic revitalization itself, the world economic dynamics has been rapidly changing with the rise of emerging economies. As one of the biggest economies in the world, it is critical for Japan to re-energize the partnership with the U.S., readdress its economic competitiveness, and bring in more foreign business and investment to its attractive sectors.
During the course of the sessions, you will be navigated through the recent technology revolution to find how Japanese technologies and know-how are essential to innovation in various industries. The breakout sessions will focus on specific growing markets – Energy & Environment, Healthcare and more – to discuss future opportunities, explore how Japanese expertise can provide additional values to your business, and understand how the U.S. and Japanese enterprise can boost business collaboration. The symposium will also provide an opportunity to learn about supportive measures by the Japanese government as well as local governments such as subsidies, preferential treatment, and deregulation for foreign businesses establishing in Japan.
Please join the Japan Exteral Trade Organization (JETRO) event with Japanese government officials leading industry professionals and explore how to boost economic growth in both economies.
Stay tuned as speakers will be announced in January 2014!
